Spring Summer 2017
A new attitude pervades the S-S 17 8PM collection, a rebellious yet fresh woman, an experimental update of the rock look.
Taking inspiration from the world of blogs, and especially the french bloggers, the woman that emerges is dynamic, inclined to experiment with new looks and layering, mixing classics (perhaps revisited in volume) with vintage inspirations, from the 70s to 90s up to the most extreme fashion limits.
Mixing is the key-word: different stripes in various colors, bandana prints mixed with vintage inspiration t-shirts, an hawaiian print declined in muted colors, embroideries matched with fringes for a non-chalant, feminine and subtly glamourous woman.
The colors of this theme reflect the mood of inspiration: starting from milk white to a delicate powder blue and gray melange, in combination with the most intense tones of lead, blue (a traditional, but dusty hue of blue up to denim blue), with touches of intense and spicy curry, up to flashes of classic red.
The materials are mainly dedicated to the daily world, both for color and touch, many jersey fabrics, from cotton fleece to a heavy weight jersey, in contrast with fluids and precious materials, such as viscose twill, silk mixes (with or without lurex,) Japanese denim effect and natural fabrics such as linen/cupro with a softer and liquid touch.
Knitwear is a complement and also a key player: big hand-knitted cardigans and sweaters in subtle striped colors, feather-weight colored mohairs, french-style stripes and laminated metallic effects.
From the eclecticism that characterizes the woman outlined in the first theme comes out the second, but not less important, nature: a strongly subversive soul, rebellious and edgy, more defined, a modern-day punk, a bit romantic and dandy at times.
The first evidence is the change of palette: the colors become cleaner and precise, from graphic black and white, a flashy emerald green, tempered only by touches of powder pink and army green.
The visual effect is sharper, traditional masculine fabrics, minimal animalier prints (light zebra stripes and small leopard spots), always in black and white tones, references to the pop world of comics contribute to a edgier and bolder look.
Fabrics are embellished with sequins and lurex embroideries, with a digression to a more technical world, using a shiny and 80s inspired lycra for leggings, tops and bodysuits with a strong character.
Despite this duality the collection is made of garments you can mix and match indifferently, the shapes are designed for a mix & match between the two themes, leaving the final consumer free to create their own style, with a strong and feminine inspiration, in correspondence with the natural 8pm DNA.
